Challenge 24: Dinner Guests— June Cleaver

I’m very excited to be participating in a Square Carousel collab for the first time. In considering my Thanksgiving dinner guest, many names came to mind: some outlandish, some tongue in cheek, and some practical. I landed on June Cleaver of ‘Leave it to Beaver’ fame, a woman recognized as the quintessential housewife of the 1950s and 60s. Thanksgiving is a pretty conventional holiday here in the states, and I felt that Mrs. Cleaver was a perfect representation of that American Family Tradition™.

hey y’all, i hope that everyone has a lovely day today, whether you’re celebrating thanksgiving or not! 

also i must add, i’m especially thankful this day for recently becoming a part of Square Carousel, an amazingly diverse and talented collective of fellow illustrators. you should give it a follow! this holiday and good news are definitely a nice break from the process of applying to grad schools!
